I am a big fan of the Batman series and my favorite character is Mr. Freeze. However the twist is his wife Lazara has the exact opposite in powers and personality. I first got the idea for this piece around Christmas time after watching the holiday special The Year Without a Santa Claus. As I watched I noticed many similarities Mr. Freeze and Lazara had to the Snow and Heat Misers from the special.
When designing I wanted to be mindful of incorporating the dark theme from the Batman Animated Series. This meant including black noir palette combined with brighter colors. To wrap it altogether I included lines for the Miser songs matching it to the specific character.
