For Save the Bay I was asked to do a redesign of their aquarium to be more child friendly and inviting and to apply this theme across numerous outlets such as flags, signs as well as name cards for the fish they rescue. When developing the theme I found that people reacted more in illustrations rather than photos. First I developed a diamond pattern for the water backgrounds. Next I illustrated the creatures them using simple colors and overlay which was referred to as the “Awesome Series.”
Every month the Aquarium runs a nautical theme promotion which can range from creatures to equipment. I was asked to illustrate these themes into posters so that they can be displayed around the aquarium. I was also requested to design a large graphic which which would be displayed in each individual panel of the garage used to connect the aquarium to beach they are currently located on.
