Carton of Crafts grew from the toybox to where people had begun asking me directions to build their own. This reminded me a lot of the Birchbox and Loot Crate where people would receive items based on a monthly theme. This led me to think of doing the same concept but with my crochet crafts.
Due to so many people loving Stuart the Minion I chose to have him be my first craft which I used. Carton of Crafts comes with all the tools and instructions to make their own Minion or any other craft. The box includes a pattern on how to make the craft, yarn, crochet hooks, and stuffing.
I designed a wrap for a box styled with a custom logo as well as font similar to that of yarn string. This would show emphasis on the craft element of the box. I then chose to use bright pink colors to set a more warming inviting tone. Lastly I wanted to include use of a hashtag because it is becoming a consistent part in merchandising. I felt really strong about the hashtag because I was beginning to notice more and more use of social media in marketing. To me this was a way to spread word of the crafts as well as encourage our crafts to gather around and share their own work.
